SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Graduation requirements; naturalization test. Directs the Board of Education, in establishing course and credit requirements for a high school diploma, to require each eleventh grade student to achieve a passing score on the civics portion of the U.S. Naturalization Test based on the current scoring guidelines adopted by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services beginning with the 2017-2018 school year. The bill requires the Department of Education to publish on its website school-level, school-division-level, and statewide passage rates.
