SUMMARY:
Penalty for use of a firearm. Increases the penalty for use of a firearm in the commission of a felony (§ 18.2-53.1) from three years to five years for the first offense and from five years to eight years for a second or subsequent offense. An emergency clause makes the provisions of this bill effective May 1, 1994. This is an administration bill.
