Introduced by: Allen W. Dudley | all patrons    ...    notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY:

Removal of vessel. Prohibits a law-enforcement officer, at the scene of an arrest of an operator of a boat, from impounding the vessel if another passenger is designated by the operator to move the vessel to a place designated by the person arrested. If no such designation is made, the officer may have the boat moved "for safekeeping." Currently, police officers have such authority with respect to the removal and impoundment of motor vehicles.
